One of our favortie condominiums on Siesta Key is Harbour Towne. When a customer asks for info about a condo offering boat docks on Siesta Key -- Harbour Towne is the one! Deep water dockage for large boats is hard to come by on the barrier islands, and Harbour Towne is perfect. As a former marina the docks at Harbour Towne condos are almost new and have access to the intracoastal, no bridges to the bay and deep water.

Harbour Towne is well kept with a strong Homeowners Association. These Siesta Key condos are centrally located on the Key and there is beach access across the street.

In June 2008, prices ranged from $495,000 to $679,900. Currently, there are only 2 Siesta Key condos, at Harbour Towne ranging in price from $450,000 to $495,000. Two condos have sold at Harbour Towne in the last six months. A unit with 1217 sq.ft. of living space sold in October 2009 for $305,000 with a list price of $345,000 and another condo sold in May 2009 listed at 399,000. The Sandy Cove condominiums on Siesta Key were designed by Frank Folsom Smith of the Folsom Group. In 1970, Smith won the FAAIA Honor Award for Sandy Cove, the first successful Florida cluster project. In January, we posted about condos on Siesta Key between $600,000-$700,000 and wanted to update you on this popular price range. Currently the Mid-Florida Regional MLS, formerly the Sarasota MLS, reports over 460 Siesta Key condos for sale, as well as town houses and villas. Siesta Key's beach was no 2 in rankings released by coastal expert, Dr. Beach in his 19th annual "Top 10 Beaches" list last week. Dr. Leatherman moved Siesta Key up a notch from last year's list.

On May 25, 2009, Donald Trump's blog mentions the Sarasota area as prices start to rise even with foreclosures escalating too. Sarasota and Siesta Key remain on travelers' radars as one of the "hot destination" cities for vacationers.

Prices on Siesta Key start at a mere $30,000 currently in the Sarasota MLS. Keep in mind that we now have fractional ownership condos on the Key: the Beach club and Hyatt Siesta.
